FTTC44, CAS43 Merry Christmas

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

It's time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge - FTTC44 - wahoooo!!! Are you ready to get your stampin' stuff out???

Maki is our challenge host today and she is challenging us to a Clean & Simple *CAS*- style card/project!!! Love this idea.....it's easy...and fast to make lots and lots of holiday cards!!! Hope you have time to play along???

I actually combined the FTTC44 with the CAS43 - Autumn Make Over Challenge. I took this sweet little card as my inspiration and turned it into this.......

I started out by scoring my card base. Next I inked up the the gorgeous Winter Bouquet Set - couldn't help myself but to use it again :) !!! The sentiment is from the Christmas Wreath Set.

I colored the bouquet with these Copic Markers - Falling Leaves, Holly and Lilac Collection - available at the Flourishes Store.

Next I bedazzled the bouquet....actually I think I used a little bit too much Glitter - oooops!!! Sorry my photos came out a bit blurry...I think my camera was blinded by all the sparkle :) - he,he,he!!!

Please don't forget to stop by Betty, Cindy, Dee, Kimberly and Maki's Blog for their take on the Challenge!!!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by today!!!

More photos!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Here are a few more photos from our Disney trip and my new car!!! I really love my new car...it rides soooo smooth!!! Please click on the photos to see them close up!!!

Miriam's best time was having lunch at the Disney Castle!!! As we entered we took family photos with Cinderella. It's part of the dining package....did I mention this was the most expensive luncheon I ever had - LOL???? But it was fun and seeing Mimi's eyes sparkle...was priceless!!!

We had to wait a few minutes before we were seated...so we asked the girls to pose for us :)

As we were dining...the Princesses came around, gave autographs and took pictures with the families...Miriam loved it!!! Here is Mimi with Belle and Aurora!!!

This is at Island of Adventure....the JAW's Ride - soooo fun!!! It scared the heck out of our little Miriam...she jumped right into Jerry's lap - he,he,he!!! She did enjoy taking the photo with her sister though!!!

This was at Universal Studios...the Simpson ride...awesome!!! It's an animated fast speed ride and our poor Rebecca was a bit dizzy afterwards - LOL!!!

Hope you enjoyed the photos?!?

Have a fun day and I hope to see you again tomorrow....it's time for the Timeless Tuesday Challenge as well as the Our Daily Bread Designs Release Blog Hop!!! Plus today is the kick off for the Stamper's Dream Team to show you some JustRite Projects!!! You don't want to miss it!!!

Disney Photos!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

As promised here are some vacation photo's from the *Ledlow Gang*!!! Starting off with a photo of my sweet hubby Jerry and me!!!

My oldest daughter Sarah was so gracious to take this photo.....trust me this doesn't happen very often - LOL!!!! Jerry and I consider ourselves very lucky - LOL!!!

Please click on the photos to see them close up.....!!!

I was hoping it would not be as crowded....but I was only wishful thinking.....it was packed!!! I can't believe no one has stepped in front of our picture taking....?!?

Here is a photo of my sweet Rebecca who still enjoys getting her face painted!!!

This is the first year neither one of our girls has fallen asleep before or during the parade!!! Not because the parade is boring....he,he,he....but usually one of them would fall asleep because they are soooooooo excausted!!!

If you have never been to Disney...let me tell you...it's truly magical and we enjoy it everytime!!! Unfortunately it cost you an arm and a leg....but it's worth every penny!!! But for right now I need at least a 5 year break before I even think about going again - LOL!!!! I have a few more photos to show you....so stay tuned!!!
Have a great day!!! Hugs ~S~

IC208,OCC Challenge - it's a Sketch!!!

Howdy friends!!! We are back!!!

We had a wonderful time at Disney and we managed to squeeze in *Universal Studios* and *Island of Adventure*!!! Let me just say....my feet are still killing me from all the walking!!!

Magic Kingdom was awesome, but a bit crowded so was Animal Kingdom!!! We were so lucky to have lunch with all the *Princesses* at the castle - without reservation - and Miriam said this was her BEST birthday e-v-e-r !!! Mission accomplished - LOL!!!

Silly me...as we were rushing out the door last week I forgot my camera and ended up buying some disposable cameras :( . I have them developed and share some photos with you tomorrow!!!

Can you believe it.....it is already the end of November and tomorrow is the 1st Advent!?! How did this happen???I know it was a busy month for me... I already created some new cards for this upcoming week and I can't wait to show them off...hope you'll stop by again???

Starting off with today's OCC Challenge......it's Jennifer's last week hosting and she is challenging us to this fun Sketch!!!

I combined this OCC Challenge with today's IC208 - Oliebollen. What a fun little shop....and after looking thru all the fun stuff I got stuck on this super duper cute ornament garland...it fits the Sketch perfectly!!!

It's a pretty straight forward Sketch and here is my take on it.......

I used the beautiful Banner of Joy Set from Penny Black!!! (Unfortunately this Set has sold out at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!) Check out some some other cards I've made with this Set right HERE!!!!

For the the sentiment I used the JustRite Times Roman Upper and Lower Case Font Set.

Wonder where the red comes in....for some funny reason I'm stuck on using *red* these days...I guess it's my favorite color for the holiday season :) !?!? I made this a monochromatic look using Red Riding Hood and Vintage Cream!!! The size of my card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Hope you like it??? Please stop by the OCC Blog for all the Samples from the Team!!!

Have a great remaining weekend!!!

Here is my take on the Challenge.......

I used the gorgeous new Winter Bouquet Set.

The bouquet was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers from the Holly, Dahlia and Sunflower Collection.

I used FTTC42 Sketch from last week...and made it a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" size. At last I bedazzled the image with Glitter and added the Satin Ribbon.

OCC Color Challenge!!!

Happy weekend everyone!!!

When you read this post...the *Ledlow Family* will be on their way to a quick Disney Vacation in Orlando!!! We haven't been in awhile and thought this would be a fun little getaway!!! It's only a few hours from our house and it's actually an early birthday present for our little Miriam!!! She is finally tall enough to get on some of the fun kid rides...and she can't hardly contain herself - LOL!!!

I promise I will share some photos with you all when we get back!!! Oh and before I forget...my car search was successful and we bought a brand spankin' new GMC Arcadia - l.o.v.e it!!! This is my first time driving a GMC and what an experience.....it's the best car e-v-e-r (at least for me - LOL)!!! I will also take photos of my new baby and share it with you soon!!!

Moving on to today's OCC Challenge......Jennifer is hosting a Color Challenge over at the OCC Blog.

I combined today's OCC card with two other Challenges.....first is the IC207 - aimoobaroo. I was inspired by these cute little buttons, but tried to limit it to the OCC colors!!!

The second Challenge is this weeks FS145. The lucky Stamper this week is no other then the fabulous Dawn Easton. Dawn has a gorgeous gallery and I really enjoy her clean simple lines!!! Congrats Dawn!!!

After a searching for a card I decided to settle on this beauty!!! The changes I made are - different colors, stamp set, size plus I added the *misting* technique.

For my card I used the SU *Inspired by Nature* and the *With Gratitude* Set.

I inked the flower image with Close to Cocoa and Pumpkin Pie using the small Stampin' Spots. I also added some *spots* onto the top of the flower image using a Chocolate Chip Marker. Next I bedazzled the flower with some Glitter and added some matching Satin Ribbon.

The sentiment was inked in Chocolate Chip and I added some piercing right below!!!

For all the Samples from the team please stop by the OCC Blog!!! Hope you find time to play along with us?!?

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you get to enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Howdy friend!!!

I've been buys shopping for a new car......unfortunately my stampin' time was limited the last few days....but I finally had some time to make a card for the TECC91 Sketch - wahhooo.

I'm using this super sweet snowman image from the JustRite - Old Fashion Christmas Borders & Centers Set. The *snow fun* sentiment was created with this Time New Roman Font Set.

The card is pretty straight forward.....I used some fun colors - Tangerine Tango, New Leaf and White.

The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. I added some Glitter right around the circle of the image and the sentiment.

The Green CS was embossed with the Snowflakes CB Folder. The bottom part of the card was scored in 1/4" intervals. To dress it up a bit I added the Silver Pearls.

Some sad news and some fun news!!!

Hello my fellow stampin' friends!!!

What a roller coaster ride this week has been!!! It started out really fun and as of yesterday we were overshadowed with some very sad news.....my 52 yr old stepbrother passed away of pneumonia....he was admitted into a German hospital a few days ago and two days ago he was placed into a deep coma....which he never made it out off!!! SHOCKER!!! The doctors are not a 100% sure if pneumonia was the only reason he suffered from.....I'm not sure if his immediate family is calling for an autopsy?!?

Unfortunately we were not very close, but he always treated me very kindly when I came home to visit!!! My heart is very saddened by his unexpected loss!!!

Please keep his family in your prayers as they see thru this difficult time!!! Thank you!!!

On a happier note....I *socialized* this Wednesday as my friend Penny and I met up with some super sweet and fun stampin' friends from the Atlanta area!!!

After talking about meeting f-o-r-e-v-e-r...we finally decided to do so!!! We - Julie Warner, Robin Kirkpatrick, Sue Prather (who doesn't have a blog or SCS gallery yet for me to link you to, but who has blown us away with her fabulous cards!!!), Penny Allen, my fellow OCC girl Jenny Gropp - met at Olive Garden. After having a yummy luncheon with lots of laughter we decided to hop over to my favorite store *Archiver's* - wahoooo!!!

Here is a photo of me and Sue.

We did some serious shopping at Archiver's we caught...... Julie action - LOL - got ya GF!!!

I had such a wonderful time. There is nothing better to meet some friends that you have so much in common with and instantly feel connected to!!! I'm already looking forward to our next meeting which hopefully we'll be in February - wahooooo!!!

Thank you girls for making this a fun day for Penny and me!!!

Before I go I would like to remind you that I'm still have some SU Stamps that need a good new home!!! Click right HERE to see what is still available!!! I will ship internationally - no problemo!!!!

My hubby was not feeling well - poor guy was hit hard with some serious allergy attacks!!! Needless to say he was miserable and I took over the Ledlow Fort - LOL!!!

Thank goodness it's weekend and after taking some heavy duty allergy meds my hubby is doing much better too!!!!

Anyway - I know you are here for the OCC Challenge....today Jennifer has created a combo *postcard Sketch/Inspiration* Challenge. You can get inspired by either or!!!

I went with the Sketch.....The front of my postcard looks like this.

The reason I used the beautiful Blessed Christmas Set from Our Daily Bread Designs.....is....it was inspired by the IC206 - Lorelie Kay Designs.

This super gorgeous *red brooch* caught my eye and I decided to use the poinsettia image for it!!! The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. After coloring the image I added some Pearl Glimmer Mist.

The frame of my postcard was punched out with the new Martha Stewart Scallop 3-Dot Combo Punch.

Here is a picture of the mailing side....very plain, but it serves the purpose!!! I added the lines with a Black Marker....I still have some of the Clear Envelopes and I plan on mailing them this way!!!

I started out by inking the bag randomly with one of the new flourished images. Next I added the Designer Paper, the *Corrugated Cardboard* the awesome *Gift Wrap Garland* I found at Walmart!!!

************************

My second idea was to create a little *Favor Bag*.

I thought this would be a fun idea to giveaway to neighbors, teachers....of course I included some yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies!!!

Finally......I would like to share some of my favorite *Halloween* photos from my girls....I know I'm so behind...!!!

We had a wonderful time trick or treating this year. Some of our neighbors did *hay rides* -which came in handy after awhile...when our little Miriam ran out of steam walking!!! The weather was perfect too and afterwards we hung out with some of our neighborhood friends.

All three of my girls decided to be *Witches* this year.....Rebecca my middle daughter decided to go the *Gothic* route....which totally surprised me, because she is such a girly girl - LOL!!! She is a blondy and we sprayed some of her her black...it looked really cool, but you can't really see it really good in the photos. I l.o.v.e the last photo of my oldest daughter Sarah....she put on her *mean* witch face!!!

Thank you so much for stickin' with me to the end!!! I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I did??? Don't the girls look AWESOME in their costumes???

Have a wonderful weekend and if you can.... I hope you'll come back tomorrow for the OCC Challenge?!?

Until then.....
