IC204 inspired OCC Card

Happy Saturday and if you are celebrating *Halloween* today - I hope you are having a fun one!?!

Lori has thought of one more fun challenge before handing it off to the next month host!!! This time she is challenging us to create a *Vintage* card or anything *vintage inspired*!!! For all the details please visit the OCC Blog!!!

Once again the IC Challenge came to my rescue :)......I accidentally made the wrong challenge card for today...oooops....so I had to come up with a new card - yikes!!! So I waited for the IC204 to be posted and thank goodness I was immediately inspired!!! After looking thru the wonderful Franz Porcelain Collection I chose this beautiful *Angel Figurine* .

It reminded me of a card I recently created.....you can view it right here.

I used the same beautiful *Banner of Joy* Set from Penny Black. It's available at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

I inked the *Angel* image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. Next I covered up my image and sprayed my background with my new toy the Copic Airbrush System. At last I used the *right* embossing enamel and added the *Cracked Glass* technique.

The DP is from the Ski Slope Collection and for my card base I used the Vintage Cream CS. To finish the card off I ink distressed the edges, added the Laced Ribbon and the Large Halfback Pearls.

I'm not very good in creating *vintage* cards.....so I hope you like my idea and you'll come out and play with us....??? Make sure to check out the Samples at the OCC Blog!!!

I see you back tomorrow when we kick off the ODBD November Release Blog Hop - you don't want to miss it!!!

Have a great remaining weekend!!!

Make sure to stop by the Stamper's Dream Store to see all the awesome JustRite Sets!!!

Both images were inked in Memento Black. The flower image was colored with Copic Markers.

I pierced around the edges and finished the card off with some Glitter, some Ribbon and a matching Button.

A weekend full of stampin'.....

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

I had a wonderful stampin' weekend.....

First I would like to share a card with you I made Friday afternoon....it is a *multi-task* card - LOL!!!

Here are the challenges I crammed onto this one....the original idea was for the fabulous CCEE ladies who were so sweet to feature my *sparklegirl* name as their Challenge - you can read about it right HERE. Next is the LSC243 - make a *girly girl* card (compliments the CCEEC), the layout is from the VSOCT09E Sketch (last one), and the square card idea is from the ssnotime110. This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

The super sweet *Dahlia* image is from The Greeting Farm.

I inked the image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. For my birthday my sweet hubby treated me to the Copic Airbrush Starter Kit and the square BG was sprayed with it!!! I definitely have to practice some more :).....it's a very fun tool to play with!!!

The DP is from the Pawsitively Prints and I matched it with the Raspberry Fizz color. At last I added the Raspberry Fizz Ribbon, the Glitter and the fabulous Silver Pearls.

Oh...... before I forget my super duper awesome *BOWS* are easily done with the *Bow-Easy*....a must have tool!!!

******************************************

Next are two card are a bit more serious....I made them both for the CAS37 - With Sympathy plus a few other Challenges.

For this card I used the CPS37 Sketch. The sentiment is from the ODBD Set Praying for You and I inked it in Chocolate Chip.

I used the beautiful *Blue Awning* DP from K&Company. The card base is a Textured Creamy Caramel CS. At last I added the halfback Pearls.

******************************************

The layout for this card is from the VSOCT09B Sketch (second one). I used the ODBD Set With Deepest Sympathy. The sentiment was also inked in Chocolate Chip.

I used the same *Blue Awning* DP and my card base is Vintage Cream. I finished the card off with a matching Satin Ribbon and halfback Pearls.

OCC Challenge - Halloween Frights

Happy weekend!!!

As you know Saturday is OCC time!!! Our host Lori with her wonderful wicket mind created another fun challenge. Today she is challenging us to make a card/project *inspired by your favorite scary (or Halloween-themed) book or movie*.

For all the info about this challenge please visit the OCC Blog!!!

I based my card on the movie *The Birds* from Alfred Hitchcock. I think the last time I saw this movie I was very young.....hmmm maybe we should do a movie night tonight :) ?!?

I also combined this card with the IC203 and I chose this beautiful black tee, since it fits the black *frighting* theme!!! To be honest with you the ruffles on the front remined me of the Crow's feather......I know I'm weird - LOL!!!

Here is what I used on my card....the *Halloween* image is from the Crow Stamp by Inkadinkado. This Stamp is available at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

I inked the image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. I added some Black Kaiser Pearls, Black Ribbon and the cute *web border* is from a MS Punch.

I used the super duper cute JustRite *birdhouse* image from the Christmas Treasures Borders & Centers Set and I created my own sentiment with this awesome Bonus Font Set from the Times New Romans Collection. Love it!!! These JustRite Sets are available at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

I inked the image with Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. On top of the birdhouse I added some Liquid Applique. After heat drying it I gently used the Glue Pen and added some Glitter.

To finish my card off I added the Red Plaid Ribbon, the Button, Red Scrap Floss and the Silver Pearls.

What an awesome way to show off the newly released Flourishes Sets!!! I chose to watercolor the beautiful *Christmas Wreath* Set.

The wreath was inked with Memento Black onto European Watercolor Paper (love the thickness of this paper!!!) I used different SU Inks to color it!!! After I colored the image I bedazzled it with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

The DP I used is from the Ski Slope Collection. I also used Chocolate Chip CS for matting!!! At last I added some *Faux Stitching* to the squares!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

Here is a card I made for three different Challenges.....first the FS141 - DancerRiley. I chose THIS cute little card from her gallery.

Second I used the C4C7 Sketch Challenge for my card. Third was the JUGS3 Color Challenge - using Red, Aqua and Cream........ I had to replace it with White since I'm completely out of Vanilla and Vintage Cream......yikes!!! Hope the awesome JUGS ladies can forgive me :)?!?

Here are the changes I made - color, layout, stamp set.

The image is from the JustRite Set - Old fashioned Christmas Borders & Centers. This Set and many more are available at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

OCC Challenge - Color Challenge and ssnotime101 Praying for You

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Time for the OCC Challenge!!! Today we have a Color Challenge....for you!!! Lori is challenging us to some very interesting colors :) and what a challenge it was - LOL!?!

To be honest with you...it was a *tough* one for me and my brain is still smokin' - he,he,he!!! Hmmm - I really needed to get inspired....so I waited for the IC202 - Xenia Taler to go live... and to my pleasant surprise I found these fabulous hand crafted tree tiles and I knew what to do - wahooooo!!!

Let me just tell you....I was playing *Russian Roulette* tonight....I almost didn't have a card for the OCC.... :() - I know I'm crazy!!!! Stef saved my little fanny with this awesome Inspiration Challenge!!!

I had a really hard time placing the *Handsome Hunter* & *Sage Shadow* together in one card - LOL!!! But once I colored the gorgeous Birch Tree Painting Set from Innovative Stamp Creations for my image I realized I could combined these two colors..... and out came this fabulous new color you see on my card!!! You should try it - it really looks AWESOME!!! Let me know what you think :) after you tried it?!? BTW - it did not mess up my Markers at all by combining these two colors....just go easy on the Sage Shadow :)!!!

To finish this card off I added the sentiment from the Let it Bloom Set also from ISC, the butterflies with little Silver Pearls in the center and the Vintage Button.

Please make sure you swing by the OCC Blog for all the Samples. If you get a chance to stamp this week I hope we have inspired you to play a long with us :) !?!

********************************************

Here is a card I made with the newly released ODBD Sympathy Sets - *Praying for You* and *With Heartfelt Sympathy*.

I was inspired by Sharon Johnson's - ssnotime109 to make a *Gate fold*. I haven't made a *fold* card in awhile and thought it would be perfect for a *Sympathy* card.

The DP I used is from the beautiful Thoroughly Modern Collection and I embossed it with the Cuttlebug Folder - Branch Leaves.

Next I added the Bible Verse on the outside and stamped the inside of the card - both were inked in Chocolate Chip!!!

At last I added the Brown Ribbon and the sparkly Prima Flowers with the decorative Design Brads.

This *Gate fold* card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". If you have never made a one before....here is how you cut your Cardstock - 5 1/2" x 11". Next you score the 11" side at 2 3/4" and at this point I usually flip my Cardstock around and score is again at 2 3/4" - voila!!! Have fun making one too!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!! Enjoy your weekend!!!
