I had two idea with this new Set......first is my *gift bag*. Please click on the photos to see them better!!!

I started out by inking the bag randomly with one of the new flourished images. Next I added the Designer Paper, the *Corrugated Cardboard* the awesome *Gift Wrap Garland* I found at Walmart!!!

My next step was to create a *tag* to go with the bag. Again I inked one of the flourished images from the new Set around the *tag* plus the sentiment in the center. To finish the bag off I added the Checker Ribbon, Red Scrap Floss, the Kaiser Pearls and the decorative Tissue Paper.

************************

My second idea was to create a little *Favor Bag*.

I thought this would be a fun idea to giveaway to neighbors, teachers....of course I included some yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies!!!

The bag itself was cut out with the Sizzix *Fancy Favor Die*. Very quick to make.....after adhering it I added the handle with some fancy Brads, the center Design Paper, the Chocolate Satin Ribbon, the new image *tag* and the yummy Cookies!!! The *tag* was decorated with some of the new Pearls available at Flourishes.

Hope we have inspired you to play along today....?!?

Oh.... I'm so thrilled you liked the photos of my girls yesterday!!! I'm indeed a proud mommy!!!

Starting today we have a new challenge host over at the OCC Blog....it's Jennifer Meyer!!! Jennifer is challenging us to create a card/project from this *inspiration photo*......

I took my inspiration from the *leaves*.......

When I saw the IC photo.....I was planning and searching for a *pumpkin* stamp...but believe it or not I don't have one *single* pumpkin stamp - crazy huh??? But then I came a cross this beautiful *Autumn Meadows* DP from SU and figured it would work perfectly for a *Fold Card* :)!!!
Yeah.... you guessed it right - I had to make one - he,he,he!!!

For the inside of my card I used the wonderful *Blessings* Set from SU. I matched the inside leaves with the DP colors - More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. For the *tag* I used Taken with Teal, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip.

The *tag* was punched out with a Large Marvy Uchida Punch. To dress it up I added Copper Hardware and the yummy Chocolate Satin Ribbon.

To finish the card off I added the Buttons!!!

Hope you have time to play along with us??? Make sure to stop by the OCC Blog to see all the awesome Samples!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Before I forget.......I'm selling a whole bunch of SU Stamps.....I'm running out of storage space and they need a good new home......I should have a list ready for you tomorrow!!! Come back and check it out!!!

Finally......I would like to share some of my favorite *Halloween* photos from my girls....I know I'm so behind...!!!

We had a wonderful time trick or treating this year. Some of our neighbors did *hay rides* -which came in handy after awhile...when our little Miriam ran out of steam walking!!! The weather was perfect too and afterwards we hung out with some of our neighborhood friends.

All three of my girls decided to be *Witches* this year.....Rebecca my middle daughter decided to go the *Gothic* route....which totally surprised me, because she is such a girly girl - LOL!!! She is a blondy and we sprayed some of her her black...it looked really cool, but you can't really see it really good in the photos. I l.o.v.e the last photo of my oldest daughter Sarah....she put on her *mean* witch face!!!

Thank you so much for stickin' with me to the end!!! I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I did??? Don't the girls look AWESOME in their costumes???

Have a wonderful weekend and if you can.... I hope you'll come back tomorrow for the OCC Challenge?!?

Until then.....

IC204 inspired OCC Card

Happy Saturday and if you are celebrating *Halloween* today - I hope you are having a fun one!?!

Lori has thought of one more fun challenge before handing it off to the next month host!!! This time she is challenging us to create a *Vintage* card or anything *vintage inspired*!!! For all the details please visit the OCC Blog!!!

Once again the IC Challenge came to my rescue :)......I accidentally made the wrong challenge card for today...oooops....so I had to come up with a new card - yikes!!! So I waited for the IC204 to be posted and thank goodness I was immediately inspired!!! After looking thru the wonderful Franz Porcelain Collection I chose this beautiful *Angel Figurine* .

It reminded me of a card I recently created.....you can view it right here.

I used the same beautiful *Banner of Joy* Set from Penny Black. It's available at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

I inked the *Angel* image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. Next I covered up my image and sprayed my background with my new toy the Copic Airbrush System. At last I used the *right* embossing enamel and added the *Cracked Glass* technique.

The DP is from the Ski Slope Collection and for my card base I used the Vintage Cream CS. To finish the card off I ink distressed the edges, added the Laced Ribbon and the Large Halfback Pearls.

I'm not very good in creating *vintage* cards.....so I hope you like my idea and you'll come out and play with us....??? Make sure to check out the Samples at the OCC Blog!!!

I see you back tomorrow when we kick off the ODBD November Release Blog Hop - you don't want to miss it!!!

A weekend full of stampin'.....

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

I had a wonderful stampin' weekend.....

First I would like to share a card with you I made Friday afternoon....it is a *multi-task* card - LOL!!!

Here are the challenges I crammed onto this one....the original idea was for the fabulous CCEE ladies who were so sweet to feature my *sparklegirl* name as their Challenge - you can read about it right HERE. Next is the LSC243 - make a *girly girl* card (compliments the CCEEC), the layout is from the VSOCT09E Sketch (last one), and the square card idea is from the ssnotime110. This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

The super sweet *Dahlia* image is from The Greeting Farm.

I inked the image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. For my birthday my sweet hubby treated me to the Copic Airbrush Starter Kit and the square BG was sprayed with it!!! I definitely have to practice some more :).....it's a very fun tool to play with!!!

The DP is from the Pawsitively Prints and I matched it with the Raspberry Fizz color. At last I added the Raspberry Fizz Ribbon, the Glitter and the fabulous Silver Pearls.

Oh...... before I forget my super duper awesome *BOWS* are easily done with the *Bow-Easy*....a must have tool!!!

******************************************

Next are two card are a bit more serious....I made them both for the CAS37 - With Sympathy plus a few other Challenges.

For this card I used the CPS37 Sketch. The sentiment is from the ODBD Set Praying for You and I inked it in Chocolate Chip.

I used the beautiful *Blue Awning* DP from K&Company. The card base is a Textured Creamy Caramel CS. At last I added the halfback Pearls.

******************************************

The layout for this card is from the VSOCT09B Sketch (second one). I used the ODBD Set With Deepest Sympathy. The sentiment was also inked in Chocolate Chip.

I used the same *Blue Awning* DP and my card base is Vintage Cream. I finished the card off with a matching Satin Ribbon and halfback Pearls.

Thank you for stopping by today!!!

OCC Challenge - Halloween Frights

Happy weekend!!!

As you know Saturday is OCC time!!! Our host Lori with her wonderful wicket mind created another fun challenge. Today she is challenging us to make a card/project *inspired by your favorite scary (or Halloween-themed) book or movie*.

For all the info about this challenge please visit the OCC Blog!!!

I based my card on the movie *The Birds* from Alfred Hitchcock. I think the last time I saw this movie I was very young.....hmmm maybe we should do a movie night tonight :) ?!?

I also combined this card with the IC203 and I chose this beautiful black tee, since it fits the black *frighting* theme!!! To be honest with you the ruffles on the front remined me of the Crow's feather......I know I'm weird - LOL!!!

Here is what I used on my card....the *Halloween* image is from the Crow Stamp by Inkadinkado. This Stamp is available at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

I inked the image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. I added some Black Kaiser Pearls, Black Ribbon and the cute *web border* is from a MS Punch.

Please visit the OCC Blog for all the Samples and we hope you have a change to play along?!?

I used the super duper cute JustRite *birdhouse* image from the Christmas Treasures Borders & Centers Set and I created my own sentiment with this awesome Bonus Font Set from the Times New Romans Collection. Love it!!! These JustRite Sets are available at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

I inked the image with Memento Black and colored it with Copic Markers. On top of the birdhouse I added some Liquid Applique. After heat drying it I gently used the Glue Pen and added some Glitter.

To finish my card off I added the Red Plaid Ribbon, the Button, Red Scrap Floss and the Silver Pearls.

What do you think - isn't it cute???

What an awesome way to show off the newly released Flourishes Sets!!! I chose to watercolor the beautiful *Christmas Wreath* Set.

The wreath was inked with Memento Black onto European Watercolor Paper (love the thickness of this paper!!!) I used different SU Inks to color it!!! After I colored the image I bedazzled it with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

The DP I used is from the Ski Slope Collection. I also used Chocolate Chip CS for matting!!! At last I added some *Faux Stitching* to the squares!!!

I finished the inside of the card as well.....as you can tell I kept the card very simple....since the sparkly wreath makes the card!!! Make sure to click on the close up photos!!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

It's time for another fun Sketch from Mercy!!!! She has created this awesome layout for us to try!!!

Here is my take on it.....when I printed out the Sketch for me to work on...it had a rectangle form....now that I posted it...it's square - ooops :) ......so that's why my card is not square :( .....

I used the beautiful Thoughts & Prayers Set from Stampin' Up. I turned it into a *Birthday* card by adding the sentiment from the Sincere Salutations and the Frame with Flourish Set.

The DP is from the Cottage Wall Collection. The images were colored with Orchid Opulence and Old Olive Markers.

To dress the card up I added some Silver Pearls and some yummy Plum Pudding Satin Ribbon!!!

Hope you have time to play along with us!?!?

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

Here is a card I made for three different Challenges.....first the FS141 - DancerRiley. I chose THIS cute little card from her gallery.

Second I used the C4C7 Sketch Challenge for my card. Third was the JUGS3 Color Challenge - using Red, Aqua and Cream........ I had to replace it with White since I'm completely out of Vanilla and Vintage Cream......yikes!!! Hope the awesome JUGS ladies can forgive me :)?!?

Here are the changes I made - color, layout, stamp set.

The image is from the JustRite Set - Old fashioned Christmas Borders & Centers. This Set and many more are available at the Stamper's Dream Store!!!

To finish the card off I added this gorgeous Dark Red May Arts Ribbon, some Glitter , the Red Kaiser Pearls and some piercing on the top and bottom panel.

OCC Challenge - Color Challenge and ssnotime101 Praying for You

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Time for the OCC Challenge!!! Today we have a Color Challenge....for you!!! Lori is challenging us to some very interesting colors :) and what a challenge it was - LOL!?!

To be honest with you...it was a *tough* one for me and my brain is still smokin' - he,he,he!!! Hmmm - I really needed to get inspired....so I waited for the IC202 - Xenia Taler to go live... and to my pleasant surprise I found these fabulous hand crafted tree tiles and I knew what to do - wahooooo!!!

Let me just tell you....I was playing *Russian Roulette* tonight....I almost didn't have a card for the OCC.... :() - I know I'm crazy!!!! Stef saved my little fanny with this awesome Inspiration Challenge!!!

I had a really hard time placing the *Handsome Hunter* & *Sage Shadow* together in one card - LOL!!! But once I colored the gorgeous Birch Tree Painting Set from Innovative Stamp Creations for my image I realized I could combined these two colors..... and out came this fabulous new color you see on my card!!! You should try it - it really looks AWESOME!!! Let me know what you think :) after you tried it?!? BTW - it did not mess up my Markers at all by combining these two colors....just go easy on the Sage Shadow :)!!!

To finish this card off I added the sentiment from the Let it Bloom Set also from ISC, the butterflies with little Silver Pearls in the center and the Vintage Button.

Please make sure you swing by the OCC Blog for all the Samples. If you get a chance to stamp this week I hope we have inspired you to play a long with us :) !?!

********************************************

Here is a card I made with the newly released ODBD Sympathy Sets - *Praying for You* and *With Heartfelt Sympathy*.

I was inspired by Sharon Johnson's - ssnotime109 to make a *Gate fold*. I haven't made a *fold* card in awhile and thought it would be perfect for a *Sympathy* card.

The DP I used is from the beautiful Thoroughly Modern Collection and I embossed it with the Cuttlebug Folder - Branch Leaves.

Next I added the Bible Verse on the outside and stamped the inside of the card - both were inked in Chocolate Chip!!!

At last I added the Brown Ribbon and the sparkly Prima Flowers with the decorative Design Brads.

This *Gate fold* card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". If you have never made a one before....here is how you cut your Cardstock - 5 1/2" x 11". Next you score the 11" side at 2 3/4" and at this point I usually flip my Cardstock around and score is again at 2 3/4" - voila!!! Have fun making one too!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!! Enjoy your weekend!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday and MTSC43 Sketch

Happy Tuesday!!!

So glad you stopped by today...I have so much to tell you!!!

My birthday is in one week - wahoooo!!! And I'm cooking up some prizes for you!!! Hint, hint.....it will include your choice of one brand spankin' new Flourishes Set!!!

Speaking of Flourishes.....we are kicking off the new October Release today and the Friends of Flourishes are helping out by showing off 2 of the 6 gorgeous new Sets!!! All the Sets will be available this Friday!!!

The two Sets we are showing are called *Christmas Drummer* and *Music Score & Words* !!!

So.....for today's Timeless Tuesday Challenge - FTTC37 - Cindy has created this awesome Sketch for us to try!!!

Instead of it being just one sketch, though, it is a sketch four ways. The same sketch turned a quarter turn to give us four different looks. (Check out the Flourishes Blog for the different looks!!!) We like to call it a *Sketch March* in keeping with the drum and musical sets we are showcasing. So, you can decide if you want sketch option A, B, C, or D!!! You may even want to do all four!!! We would love to see which sketch you choose and what you create!!!

I chose Sketch *A* and this is my take on it......

I thought a more *vintage* look would work perfect with this Drummer image!!!

Here is what I have done - I started out by stampin' the BG Set *Music Score & Words* first. Next I distressed the edges using a Chai Blend....and then added the DP from the Ski Slope Collection.

The Drummer image was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copic Markers from the Water Collection, Evergreen Collection as well as the E47 Marker. I again distressed the edges with Ink and then added the Versamark and Glassy Glaze Enamel to accomplish the *Cracked Glass* technique. And guess what...I got it right this time - wahoooo :-) !!!

At last I finished the card off with a Brown Satin Ribbon, Chocolate Kaiser Pearls and the sentiment from the BG Set *Music Score & Words*.

Please stop by the Flourishes Blog to see all the Samples and on how you can play along this week!!!

For close up inspiration please stop by - Betty, Cindy, Dee, Kimberly and Makiko's blog!!!

Want to double your chances of winning one of these new Sets??? Play along in the *A Season That Sparkles Challenge*....you can read all about it right HERE.

*********************************************

Now on to Mercy's Sketch Challenge - MTSC43!!!

Just in case you didn't know Mercy was so sweet and asked me to be her *October Muse*!!! And I'm loving it :)!!! Mercy has designed this fabulous Sketch for you to try!!!

Here is my take on it........

I combined the Sketch with this weeks C4C6 Challenge. I used the *Kind Thoughts* and *Live your Dream* Sets. The colors I used are Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip.

The DP is from the Parisian Breeze Specialty Collection. I finished the card off by adding some smaller Silver Pearls to the butterfly, the flourished image and the sentiment.

Please don't forget to swing by Mercy's blog and her fabulous team - Pam Speidel, Cindy Haffner, Pam Varnell, Julie Lacey, Crystal Birr, Jackie Pedro, Jessica Diedrich, Shannan Teubner.

OCC Sketch, IC201 A Note of Thanks

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

It's Volleyball weekend again.....GSU played last night and we won.... wahoooo!!! There is one more game this afternoon and I can't wait to see it!!! Our girls are on *fall break* this upcoming week....we'll take it easy and I hope I get to stamp at least a little bit :) ?!?

For today's OCC Challenge Lori challenged us to use this Sketch.

I combined the Sketch with today's IC201 - TzaddiShop. What an awesome inspiring handmade jewelry shop!!! I was inspired by this awesome reversible - *Pink Puff* necklace ......I really liked these colors....!!!

As you can tell this Sketch works really great with a larger card size too. This one measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

I interpreted the colors from the necklace like this - White, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo!!! I tried hard to incorporate some of the green as seen on the necklace, but it just didn't work for me :(

The Set I used is Kind & Caring Thoughts. The center flower was inked twice and raised up. The sentiment is from Sweet Little Sentiments Set - I inked it in Basic Black.

The DP is from the Crushed Curry Patterns Designer Series Collection. I again decorated the card with some piercing and this time I also used some Clear Gemstones. I finished the card off with the yummy Raspberry Fizz Ribbon (which matches the Melon Mambo perfectly!!!).

Please stop by the OCC blog to see all the Samples with the Sketch!!! Hope you'll have time to play along???

Enjoy your weekend and thank you so much for stopping by today!!!

JustRite Inspired!!!

Happy TGIF!!!

Oh I'm so glad it's weekend.....it's been a crazy week...again!!! So much to do so little time -KWIM!?! Our kids had early release yesterday and today....plus parent/teacher conferences!!!

I must say - I'm a proud mommy, because my girls are really great students and I don't have to worry about bad reports or them not moving academically along!!!

Anyway - I had some time to stamp yesterday and I had to ink some more of my new JustRite Stamps!!! All these Sets are available at Stamper's Dream !!!

My inspiration for this card came from two different places.....first the Sketch - JUGS1. Second CAS35 Inspiration Challenge. I chose THIS double-sided *plum/raspberry* Chenille pillow.

For this card I used the Thinking of You Borders & Ovals Set. The sentiment was created separately with the Times New Roman Bonus Set.

The flower and border image were inked twice with Memento Black and I raised the flower image up. According to the Sketch I added the second panel and scored it!!!

Thank you for stopping by today!!! Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you'll stop by for the OCCC tomorrow???

ODBD Blog Post - My turn!!!

Hello again!!!

Today is my turn for the ODBD blog post and I decided to make a *Sympathy* card with the beautiful new released *With Heartfelt Sympathy* Set.

I know we all struggle on what to say during these very difficult times when a loved one, friend, family member or neigbor has passed. I personally never know the right words to say......and lately we had to say goodbye to a few friends :(..... Now I don't have to figure out what to say anymore - because Kelley released these 3 beautiful Sympathy Sets. Now I can tell the mourning family that I care and think of them!!!

With this card I decided to keep my focal point on the image and sentiment. I added some *Faux Stitching* and *Scoring*. The edges of the Bible Verse were distressed.

The colors I used are - Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango and Chocolate Chip. The Design Paper is from the Frosty Day Collection .

Thank you for stopping by again!!! Have a wonderful day!!!

ETA: I totally forgot to mention that the *Faux Stitching* was inspired by this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C5!!! Sorry!!!

Happy Sunday!!!

I hope you all had fun stampin' for the World Card Making Day??? I sure did!!! I was all over the place and couldn't decide what to do - LOL - so I limited myself to a few Sketches and played along over on SCS.

My card is for this weeks FS139 - Lois aka *Clownmom*!!! Lois is a fabulous stamper and I got to know her a bit as she follows the Flourishes Challenges :)!!! Check out her fantastic gallery right here!!! I chose this purple-licious beauty and turned it into a *fall* card!!!

Here are the changes I made - no wax-paper technique, color, size and stamp set.

For this card I used the gorgeous newly released Shades of Autumn Set from Innovative Stamp Creations. The layout is also from the ISC909 Sketch and it matches Lois's layout too!!!

The DP is from the beautiful Indian Summer Collection. I inked the leave branch with the Pumpkin Patch Spectrum Pad. The sentiment is from the same ISC Stamp Set and I inked it Old Olive.

To dress the card up a bit more I added the 5/8" Chocolate Chip Ribbon, the Chocolate Kaiser Pearls and I pierced below the sentiment.

World Card Making Day, OCC Inspiration Challenge and my new handmade Jewelry!!!

Happy WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!!!

I think this my first year I actually get to participate in this fun event - wahoooooo!!! If you have a chance swing by the Paper Craft Blog Tour and see who else is celebrating this day!!!

I combined my WCMD card with the IC200 over on SCS. I took my inspiration from this Organic Cotton Bag. I thought the Gifts of the Earth Set from Stampin' Up would work really good with this inspiration piece. The awesome layout I'm using is from Mercy's - MTSC41 Sketch. Please click on the card to see it bigger...for some reason this size photo doesn't come up bigger on my screen!?!

The image was inked in Memento Basic Black and colored with Copic Markers.

My card base is Kraft CS and I added some Spring Rain Bitty Box Basic DP in the background. Next I added some Scalloped Laced Ribbon and a panel of embossed Chocolate Chip CS. Right below I adhered the punched out Eyelet Border.

To finish it off I embellished the card with a matching Satin Ribbon and a Wooden Vintage Button.

***********************************************

My next card is for today's OCC Inspiration Challenge. This month Lori is hosting all the Challenges and she is challenging us to use these *Duval journals* as our inspiration pieces!!!

I was immediately drawn to the right journal as it reminded me of this beautiful Grow in Grace Set from Our Daily Bread Designs. My color choice was drawn from the first journal. For the layout I used this weeks Mojo106 Sketch.

The Design Paper is from the Haiku Collection. The image was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copic Markers.

For decoration I added some Silver Pearls, a Jumbo Silver Eyelet and the yummy Satin Chocolate Ribbon.

For all the samples please stop by the OCC Blog. Hopefully we have inspired you to play along today?!?!

**********************************************

One more thingy......they Pottery Shop finally called me yesterday to pick up my handmade jewelry I made last weekend - wahooooo!!!

So what do you think??? The inside was a specialty glass and we added a clear glass on top...after it's melted all together......this is the ultimate outcome!!!

The photo doesn't do this Set any justice....it was really hard to take pictures, because they jewelry is so shiny :). I'm definitely have to go back and create some more...this entire Set cost me only $18.90...not bad - huh?!?

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and happy stampin'!!!

BTW - my sweet DD Rebecca created a card for today's WCMD too....if you like swing by her blog and tell her what you think of her card.....!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday

Happy Tuesday guys!!!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend??? We did something fun on Saturday...the girls were invited to a birthday party at a *Pottery Store*. While they crafted their little pottery items...I had a chance to make/design my own *Jewelry* out of specialty glass and clear glass - I designed a ring and some earrings!!! Oh - I can't wait to share it with you this week....I should be able to pick my new creations up on Wednesday - wahooooo!!!

Other than that I was working on some cards......and of course I'm ready to show off my card for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge -FTTC35 today!!!

Since it's the last Tuesday of the month we have a Guest Designer for you. Please welcome Francie Gumprecht (aka *Francie G* on SCS)!!! Welcome Francie and thank you for hosting todays FTTC!!!

Francie is challenging us to *Extend our creations outside the frame*. Whether your want to make a dimensional piece or use subtle cut lines, the look is to go beyond the frame you choose for your card. We can't wait to see what you create!?!?

Here is my take on it.....

I used the yummy Strawberries Set.

The image was colored with Copic Marker and Prisma Markers. After coloring I added some Royal Red & Olive Green Shimmerz to the leaves and strawberries.

The frame was created with the Bigz Top Note and the Largest Oval Spellbinder Die. I raised some of the leaves and flowers up with Stampin' Dimensionals to create the *outside of the frame* look.

At last I decorated the card with some Silver Pearls and the Red Gingham Ribbon. The sentiment was inked in Basic Black and I pierced right below it.

Hope we have inspired you to play along?!?

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Hope you all have time to stamp along with us??? Dana has challenged us to another fun OCC Challenge!!! It's all about *Monochromatic* color choices!!!

You know what...sometime I can pull it off just like that and then sometimes I have to think realy, really hard about it.....?!? My card today took me forever...I changed colors, layout etc around at least 10 times !!!

But then I came across the Christmas Cocoa Specialty DP.....which one of the DP sheets matches the Friends 24/7 Set and than I was saved - wahooooo!!!

Please stop by the OCC Blog and check out all the samples. I hope we have inspired you to play along???

************************************************

This card is my submission for the IC199 - The Pajama Squid. I used this fun little hairclip as my inspiration piece!!! I wasn't to crazy about the colors...so I took my color inspiration from this cute little hairclip. What can I say...we love *pink* around here - he,he,he!!!

I continued with the OCC *monochromatic* theme and stayed with the *pink colors*.

The butterfly is from the SU Stamp Set Great Friend. The sentiment is from the A Little Birthday Cheer.

I used the Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry colors.

My first PTI Blog Hop

Hey again!!!

I'm so thrilled to participate in my first Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!!!

This months challenge was to reuse, repurpose or recycle packaging from your Papertrey Package. Unfortunately I didn't get to order anything this month :( , so I didn't have the *big* box anymore.....but I kept some of the *corrugated cardboard* (which is wrapped around the ends of the cardstock) from last months order :)!!! I always loved the look of them and I have done a few projects in the past using them!!!

Anyway - I finally had a chance to ink up my gorgeous Autumn Abundance Set. I created a card and a *candy bar slider* for today's Blog Hop.

First is the card....... (please click on the photos to see the images larger)

Here is my *candy bar slider*.......

Here is the *combo* look.......

I used this wonderful Sketch my sweet blogging friend Charlene hosted a little while back.

Since I used the corrugated cardboard I thought I'd continue the look on my White CS and I embossed the it with a few rows on each side.

The main image was inked in Memento Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used Circle Spellbinder Dies to punch it out.

For the smaller circles on my card I used the awesome Plum Pudding from the Bitty Box Patterned Paper. At last I added the Ribbon and the Silver Pearls.

The *candy bar slider* was really quick and easy to make.....I took my 8" DP square (it will give you two sliders if you cut the paper in half after it's done!!!) and scored it at 2", 1", 2", 1" and another 1/2". Trim the rest of the DP off and adhere it together. Cut at desired length - voila!!!

I decorated the slider with more corrugated cardboard, the Plum Pudding Saddle Stitched Ribbon, the extra little fuzzy Ribbon I had leftover. At last I added the little tag I made with it using the same PTI Set. Oh yeah - I filled it with some yummy Dove Chocolate Bar :) !!!

Hope you like this idea???

Thank you so much for hopping by.....I can't wait to see what everyone else created!?!

~Supply List~ for card and candy slider

SD Banner of Joy and FTL60

Happy TGIF you all!!!

Oh my new flooring is beautiful and it makes the room look so much bigger!!! It was worth all the action that comes along with this transitions- LOL!!!

Well, I told you yesterday that some of my stampin' didn't turn out as planned...I redid some of the projects and here is what I created.

Both cards are from the same Penny Black - Banner of Joy Set that is available at Stamper's Dreams.

For the first card I used the FTL60 Sketch. As you can tell I turned it into a bigger square sized card - it measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2.

The Christmas ornament was inked in Versamark and embossed with Black Embossing Powder. Pretty straight forward take on the Sketch!!!!

***********************************************

Next is the card that gave me a headache - LOL!!!

Okay - here is what I was trying to do....I thought I'd go ahead and do the *Cracked Glass* technique....as I was adding the Versamark and the Embossing Powder several times in a row....I tried to *crack it * and it just wouldn't.......I was sooooo mad!!! After I gave up I decided it was time for me to clean up and head to bed. Well, as I was cleaning I looked at the EP Container and discovered that I was using the wrong Embossing Powder - duh - no wonder it would crack - LOL!!! I used Clear EP instead of the Glassy Glaze Enamel...I guess I wasn't thinking straight - LOL!!!

So I was cutting my loses and decided to make it a more *vintage* looking card!!!

The Design Paper is from the Ski Slope Collection. I stamped the *angel* first with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.

Next I colored it with several different Copic Markers. Then I added the Versamark & the Crystal Clear (wrong EP - he,he,he) and repeated this step several times. After the image cooled off I bended it a few times and tried to achieve the *vintage* look.

Next I distressed the edges of the DP and the card base using this Antique Linen Ink Pad.

At last I added the sentiment using Memento Black Ink, the Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets with the Red Rhinestone Brads inside.

Hope you like the cards???

Be sure to stop by later in the evening as I'm showing off another project for a Blog Hop :) !!!

Have a great day and hope to see you later!?!?

MTSC40, CC237 Live Your Dream and SC241 Thinking of You

Happy Thursday you all!!!

My goodness this week is flying by....I hardly had any time to stamp. Plus everything I touched today - stampin' wise - was a disaster...I think my mind was somewhere else!!!

Well - actually - we are ripping our carpet out and replacing it with Laminate flooring. We already have it in our Foyer, Formal Dining Room and I have no idea why we did do the Living Room as well??? Anyway - the Flooring Company is coming today and is starting the process....so yesterday and the day before yesterday I was cleaning my house...rearranging....and laundry (which is a never ending story around here).

Anyway -I thought I'd better go ahead and post some cards for ya!!!

The first card is for Mercy's Tuesday's Sketch - MTSC 40. It was also my submission for the CC237 - using Crushed Curry, Basic Black and Rich Razzleberry.

I was using the SU Set - Live Your Dream. The flowers were colored with the SU Markers - Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry.

As soon as I was done coloring I *misted* the image with my Misting Bottle and stamped it straight onto my White CS.

The DP is from the Rich Razzleberry Patterns Collection. To decorate the card I added the Polka-Dot CC Ribbon and of course my favorite Silver Pearls.

***************************************

Next I would like to share a card I did a while back for the SC241. Not sure why I have never posted it here ......?!?

I really like how it shows off some of the new SU In-Colors.

The Set I used is from the Hostess Level II - Kind & Caring Thoughts.

I inked these flowers in Rose Red, Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede. The sentiment was inked in Basic Black.

The DP is from the Thoroughly Modern Collection and I added a panel of Bermuda Bay CS.

At last I added the Polka-Dot Soft Suede Ribbon and the Silver Pearls :)

I totally forgot to tell you all that this was my last month on the *There She Goes* Design Team. So this will definitely free up my schedule to use more of my SU stash.....which I have been neglecting for awhile :(....

If you have time swing by the TSG Blog and check out the new Design Team Jessica has announced....she also has a great sale going on!!! Plus the October Sneak Peeks are going on!!!

Have a wonderful day and I hope I get to stamp today :) !?!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, SSCC5 Branch Out

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Oh - I'm so excited, because it's my turn to host the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - FTTC34 today - wahoooooo!!!

I'm challenging you to add some *Misting* to your card/project!!!

There is a wonderful variety to achieve different misting looks.....here are some ideas - you ink the stamp, mist with water, then stamp. You can decide if you want your stamp mist image to be the background, focal image, accent element, or all three. We would love to see what you create!!!

Here are two links to SCS tutorials - Misting with Markers and Misting with Alcohol Markers - just in case you like to run with these ideas.....!?!

For my card I used the *Misting with Markers* technique as this is one of my favorite stampin' techniques :)!!! Need to get inspired...check out these cards and this post.

My card layout is from the C4C3 Sketch.

First I added the panel of Melon Mambo DP to my card base. I decided to add a couple scored lines to my card base as well.

Next I colored straight onto the Spring Ephemerals image using the Melon Mambo and Old Olive Markers. Then I used my little Misting Bottle and sprayed some water over the image and stamped it straight onto my White CS - voila !!!

Quick tip...you can convert your old Stamp Cleaning Bottles into a Misting Sprayer!!!!

SSCC4, Snowflake in Bloom

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

Lately I'm in the mood to create Christmas cards....and maybe - just maybe - I can get them all done this year - LOL!!!

I really like this super gorgeous Snowflake in Bloom Stamp from Holly Berry House.

I made two different cards with this Stamp........

The snowflake was inked in Versamark and embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. I repeated the step twice and cut out the second snowflake. As you can tell I trimmed it down and left a centerpiece.....which I raised up and added a Chocolate Pearl on top.

On this card I used the retired Wintergreen DP Collection. I matched it up with some Satin Ribbon.

*************************************************

Here is another approach.......

I used the beautiful SSCC4 Sketch for this card.

Again I inked the snowflake in Versamark and embossed it with the Copper Embossing Powder twice. Both images were cut out and raised with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The DP is from the Christmas Cocoa Collection. I added a matching Brown Ribbon and at last I decorated the card with the Chocolate Pearls.

Have a wonderful day!!!

I couldn't help myself but to use the gorgeous new Seasonal Wreaths Set that was released this past Friday!!! Just in case you missed the Flourishes release....check out the post right here !!!

The two different Design Papers are from the Christmas Cocoa and Bella Rose Collection.

To dress my card up I added the small Silver Pearls, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Styled Silver Hardware and Royal Red Shimmerz. Plus I added some Faux Stitching around the edges.

Gina K's Blog Hop !!!

Happy Monday evening!!!

My friend Nina Brackett was so sweet and invited me to participate in tonight's *Gina K's Blog Hop*. Thank you Nina....I'm so happy you asked - wouldn't want to miss it :) !!!

The focus is on the Elegant Verse Set that Nina recently released over at the Gina K Design store. This Set works perfectly with the fabulous Elegant Post Set that Nina released last month!!!

For this card I combined both of Nina's Sets!!!

I started out by scoring the top part of my card base. Next I stamped the Elegant Post image on the White CS and colored it with the Copic Markers.

Once I was done...I started tearing around the edges. I matched the Kraft CS below and adhered them together.

Next I added the punched out DP panel with the Satin Ribbon. At last I added the wonderful Verse and decorated the card with Silver Pearls - voila!!!

*************************************************

Of course I had to make one more card with just a sentiment on it :).......

I started out scoring the top of the card base again.

Then I punched out the DP with the Scalloped Edge Punch. I added another strip of DP and distressed the edges.

The sentiment was inked in Basic Black and cut out with the Oval Spellbinder Die.

At last I added the piercing, the matching Satin Ribbon and the flower.

Hope you like my cards???
